Craig commenced with the Queensland Fire and Rescue as a Firefighter in 2002 and is currently an acting Superintendent.
Craig is currently involved in the Queensland’s Government Wireless Network (GWN radio network). As the Executive Manager QFES GWN Unit, this role manages all aspects of QFES’s interaction with the state of Queensland and Telstra.
Craig has been involved with the GWN from G20 through to full South East Queensland Implementation.
Craig has been heavily involved in emergency management over his career and has been involved in most major disasters to affect Queensland over recent times, including the Queensland/Brisbane floods of 2011, large-scale wildfires and the majority of cyclones that have crossed the coast as recently as TC Debbie. Craig deployed to Christchurch as part of the Queensland USAR team and recently has been involved in assisting Western Australia and Tasmania with their management of their large-scale wildfires.
Craig is currently developing his team into a ‘Digital Strategy and Operation Support unit’ to continue to align and transition QFES into the digital communications environment.
