Geoff Spring was a member of the state of Victoria’s (Australia) public service for nearly 40 years holding senior executive positions in the fields of project management, transportation, public safety, policy, strategy and governance. Geoff now specialises in the field of mission-critical public safety communications.

Geoff is a Senior Industry Advisor to the University of Melbourne – Infrastructure Engineering Department providing advice on the global public safety market and the public safety communications and information management technologies (PSCIMT) dector. Geoff worked on the establishment of the Centre for Disaster Management and Public Safety launched by the university in November 2013 and continues to work with the centre, focusing on the establishment of a Mission Critical Communications Research Unit.
- Land Mobile Radio – P25 Steering Committee
Geoff is a member of the P25 Steering Committee that is responsible for the ongoing development of the P25 Standard in conjunction with the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). In August 2013 Geoff was awarded an APCO International President’s Award for his contribution to the development of the P25 Standard.
