Critical Messaging Association of America (CMAA)
Jim Nelson has served as President of Critical Messaging Association of America (CMAA) since 2014 and is a member of the board of directors of CMA-Europe. Jim was appointed to the board of directors of AAPC (now CMA America) and EMMA (now CMA Europe) in 2008; Jim was also elected as Vice-Chair of the Paging Technical Committee in the same year.
Jim founded Prism Systems International Incorporated and Prism Paging Systems in 1997, and Prism-IPX Systems in 2011. Jim serves as Chairman, President and CEO of all three companies. The Prism companies lead the industry in development and design of critical messaging communications systems specialising in the use of paging and related technologies. With over 48 years in paging as a system developer and a commercial paging system operator, Jim has held senior management positions in well-known industry-leading companies such as Multitone, Quintron, BBL Industries, Metromedia Paging, Arch Wireless and TGA, and owns the Prism companies.
