The decades-old telephony system that supports emergency calls, or 000, is out of date and needs an overhaul. The National Emergency Communications Working Group – Australia and New Zealand (NECWG-A/NZ) has been working for some time to create a Next Generation Triple Zero Strategic Plan.

This panel, made up of local and international experts, will discuss the history, current position and desired future state of NG000. The session will be of keen interest to industry, government, academic and related delegates, as all will be required to ensure the transition from 000 to NG000 is successful.

Panel members: Chris Beaston – Director, NSW Police Force- PoliceLink Command, Chief Richard Carrizzo – Board member, FirstNet/Southern Platte Fire Protection District, Kansas City, MO, Marty Smyth – CEO, ESTA
