Head, Radio Operational Support
Metropolitan Police Service
Chris has been a Metropolitan Police (London) Officer for over 27 years, during which time he has built up a wide range of general policing skills but with a specific focus on counterterrorism, security planning and the management of technology. “The Met” is the largest police force in the UK and Chris currently heads the unit that provides operational support for all radio users — including a fleet of 45,000 handsets and 4,000 mobile devices. He is also the Business Change Lead for the Met’s transition to the Emergency Services Network, the replacement for the existing nationwide TETRA network.
