Beyond the role of mobile telecommunications in keeping Australians connected and enabling industries to be more productive and efficient, it also plays a vital role in enabling information to be shared between emergency agencies and with the community during natural disasters, and supporting emergency services. In this presentation, Louise will go into detail on Australia’s evolving mobile technologies, and share examples of the growing potential for 5G applications to improve our resilience and recovery from natural disasters, including improved disaster monitoring and warning systems, and to streamline emergency response by enabling development and deployment of new, innovative technologies.
