In this presentation, we will explore the successful implementation of Tait Communications’ Field Communications solution for Brisbane City Council (BCC), Australia’s largest local government authority. Through the deployment of Tait’s Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) infrastructure and devices, managed as a service, the council’s daily operations involving buses, ferries, service vehicles, and field-based staff have become safer and more efficient.
With over 2000 radios seamlessly migrated to Tait’s DMR Tier 3 trunked voice and data network, Brisbane City Council now enjoys exclusive capacity, priority, and control over their network. The network’s scalability ensures its ability to meet the council’s current needs while accommodating future expansions such as the integration of the Brisbane City metro project electric bus fleet.
This comprehensive Field Communications solution for BCC includes a seven-year managed network services and support contract. The successful partnership between Tait Communications and other local providers ensures the council’s long-term operational requirements are met, while also facilitating future growth opportunities.
Join us as we discuss the innovative technologies and collaborative efforts that have enabled BCC to enhance its urban operations, prioritize safety, and lay the foundation for a connected and efficient public transport network.
